Write, Play, Perform: Music Workshops for Kids & Youth
I’m excited to offer a new 6-week series of creative music workshops for kids, youth, and emerging artists.
These small-group classes bring together songwriting, composition, ensemble playing, and performance — all in a fun, supportive environment.

FAQ
Do students need musical experience to join?
Not at all! All levels are welcome, including complete beginners. Students can bring an instrument if they have one, but it’s optional — I’ll be providing a keyboard, ukulele, microphone and speakers, and a variety of rhythm instruments each week.
What should my child/teen bring?
A water bottle and their instrument if they’re learning one. Everything else will be provided.
What are the class sizes?
Group sizes are kept small — typically 6 to 8 students — so everyone gets support and plenty of time to participate.
What happens if my child misses a class?
No worries. They can jump back in at the next session. Each week’s activities are flexible enough that no one will fall behind.
Is there a performance at the end?
Yes! We’ll finish the 6-week series with a relaxed open-stage sharing for friends and family. Students can perform solo, in small groups, or with the full ensemble — whatever feels right.
Where should we park, and which entrance do we use?
Parking is available behind Laurier Baptist Church, and the main entrance is also located at the back of the building. Please use this entrance for drop-off and pick-up. It’s well-marked and easy to access from the parking area.
