Community Block Party featuring Juno Award winner Maria Dunn

Join us as we block off Ada BLVD for a very special event featuring Juno Award winner Maria Dunn. This concert combines powerful music, art, and human rights awareness — all while supporting a local refugee family.
About Maria Dunn
Maria has performed for audiences of up to 20,000 people at Folk Festivals in Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Washington, D.C., Glasgow, and many more venues.
Supporting a Refugee Family
We will be raising funds for a local Kurdish refugee family. One of the daughters will be painting live during the concert, and you’ll have the chance to meet the whole family. Half of the proceeds will go toward helping this family reunite with two sisters still in a refugee camp in Kurdistan, and the other half will support public art projects along Ada Boulevard.
- 4PM Finn Siegers Trio plus face painting for children of all ages.
- 5PM Iranian Human Rights brief presentation.
- 5:30PM: Singer Carrie Day
- 6PM Maria Dunn takes stage till shortly after sunset.
I currently perform regularly at Edmonton International Airport (YEG) as part of their Live Music Program. These performances are for travelers past security, but I include them here to reflect my current schedule.
I’m also listing the songwriting workshops I teach for Jube School attendees, though stay tuned for more workshops open to everyone!
